Fletcher Bell Burks III, 46, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2025. 

He was born March 14, 1979, in Portsmouth to the late Fletcher Bell Burks II, and Debbie Zimbro Shafer and husband Allen Earl Shafer.

He is also survived by his children, Dylan Burks and Zeanna Burks; grandchildren, Khole Burks and Jamori Reaser; brother, Christopher Wayne Henson; special nephew, Christopher Everett Henson, special aunt,  Barbara Wilhelm (Jim); special uncle, Tommy Zimbro (Joyce); grandmother, Pat Thomas (Steven); and many special nephews and nieces, too numerous to name.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Ralph Coleman.
