PATSY BROUGHMAN

Patsy Jean Broughman (Robertson), 76, of Botetourt County passed away surrounded by loved ones. 

She was born on May 24, 1949, in Botetourt County to Woodrow and Bessie Broughman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Phil Robertson; devoted companion of many years, Early Fisher; and her brother, Jesse Broughman. 

Surviving are her children, Phil Robertson Jr., Penny Hostetter (Edward), Pamela Juarez (Carlos); partner, Kenny Buchanan; siblings, Frank Broughman, Peggie Mayo (Buster) and Bobby Broughman.

She was a proud and devoted “Granny” to Barry Derr, Kendall Robertson, Brittney Murillo, Anthony Hostetter, Justyn Juarez, Ryan Juarez and Erick Juarez and 12 great-grandchildren. 

Patsy will be remembered as a fiery woman — full of passion, grit and deep love for her family. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs, including her beloved Nubbin, Woodrow and Corey, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.

Her strength, humor, and unwavering spirit will live on in the memories of all who loved her.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Dorsey Hostetter. Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
