Elvie Mae Southers Flowers, 81, of Buena Vista, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025. 

Born Nov. 10, 1943, in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Roscoe Southers and Willie Mae Taylor Southers.

She was also preceded in death by husbands Donald Douglas Potter Sr. and Leroy Flowers; daughter, Delsie Mohler; sister, Edna J. Sorrells; and brothers Ted Southers and Randy Alan Southers Sr.

Surviving are her children, David Southers (Linda), Donald Potter Jr. (Pam Myers), Danny Potter (Lisa), and Donna Fitzgerald (Chris); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Southers and Doug Southers; special niece, Gloria Sorrells Riley; and special caregiver, Lana “Angel”.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Rockbridge MemorialGardens. 

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
