WAYNE CARTER

He was born March 2, 1946, in Lexington, a son of William and Elsie Carter.
Wayne was self-employed in construction and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne (Julie) Carter Jr., Gregory (Alison) Coffey and Dylan (Sandy) Carter; one daughter, Chelsea (Tyler) Elliott; three grandchildren, Ashley (Joey) Campbell, Hilary (Brandon) Carter and Derek (Sarah) Carter; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ezra; two brothers, Terry and Donny McGowan; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chuck McGowan and Jimmy Carter; and sisters Linda Gay Carter, Doris Jean Carter.
Arrangements are private and under direction of Kegel Funeral Home Inc. in Finleyville. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
