Carroll is survived by her husband, William Edward Coffey. They were married on July 1, 1957, and enjoyed 68 years of marriage. They had two daughters, Norah Evelyn Coffey Clarkson, who went to be with her Savior on April 28, 2025; and Shari Lynn Coffey Bench (Shayne) of Sarasota, Fla. They had one son, Edward Lee Coffey (Fonda) of Buena Vista. Carroll had six grandchildren, Jennifer, Chad, Chase, Tiffany, Jeffry (deceased) and Christina; and nine great grandchildren. She had two brothers, Frederick “Freddie” Lynn (deceased) and Marshal Clyde Lynn of Buena Vista.

Carroll was a lifelong Christian and member of First Brethren Church, Buena Vista. She worked for several doctors and Stonewall Jackson Hospital for many years. She loved her work, especially her patients. Carroll loved fixing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for all the family. This was a tradition for over 50 years.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and everything they did for her during her illness.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Green Hill Cemetery by Pastor Butch Grow.
