Carolyn was a psychologist who worked as a school psychologist in Illinois, and then as the psychologist for the Child Development Clinic in Roanoke, and finally in private practice in Lexington. She was known for her professional thoroughness and absolute dedication to her young patients, an authentic "catcher in the rye." Carolyn didn’t just practice psychology, she practiced humanity. Being such a woman, she left behind a legacy of lives changed, futures reclaimed, and innocence preserved. An entire life marked by a compassionate and loving connection with all living creatures, human and non human, will long be remembered.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
