Born March 19, 1955, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Edwin L. Adams and Betty Kirby Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Robert C. Shafer.

Vicki was retired from Virginia Military Institute having worked in facility maintenance.

Surviving are her sister, Lisa Adams Shafer; nephew, Luke Shafer (Katy); niece, Dara Shafer (Cory Taylor); and great-nephew and great-niece, Chase and Raegan Taylor.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
