Born Sept. 4, 1959, she was a daughter of Jessie LeRoy Wilhelm and Madeline Snyder Wilhelm.

Sherry was a retired teacher from Rockbridge County Public Schools with 34 years of service. While at the high school, she also coached basketball, softball, volleyball and was an instructor for the “behind the wheel” program.

Along with her parents, also surviving are her sister, Linda W. Plogger, and brother-in-law Samuel T. Plogger.

There will be a private graveside service at Mt. Carmel cemetery.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
