Candance “Candy” Dawn Nuckols Widner of Craigsville died at her home on Aug. 18, 2025. She was born in Lexington on Aug. 16, 1966.

She worked many years at the Augusta Correctional Center.

Surviving are her husband, James M. Widner, and stepson, Trevor Widner, of Craigsville; and brothers Frank Nuckols of Walkers Creek and Gary Nuckols of Fairfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Dolis Nuckols, of Walkers Creek, and sister, Anne Nuckols Page, of Christiansburg.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.  The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m.

Burial will be held at a later date.
