Born Jan. 3, 1948, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of James Henry and Mamie Coffey Fitzgerald.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Clark; brothers, Henry Fitzgerald and Carl Fitzgerald; sisters, Barbara Long, Martha Vest and Doris Roberts; and half-sisters, Ruby Eakin and Dorothy Hostetter.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Blackburn; one grandson, Donavan Blackburn; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Victory Baptist Church by Wayne Smith.
