MERRILL McGEE
He was born March 13, 1945, in Rockbridge County the son of Howard Thomas McGee and Florence Virginia VanNess McGee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles C. McGee.
Brownie was a machinist at NAPA where he was known as the doctor of the machine shop to his NAPA family.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Stinnett McGee; children, Merrill Brown McGee Jr. (Beverly), Nina McGee, Shelley Martin, Todd Stinnett (Brooke) and Elonda Clark; grandchildren, Emma Stinnett and Ryan Clark; brothers, Bruce McGee (Cindy) and Leonard Ray McGee (Jonnie); sisters, Susan M. Ward (Butch) and Beth M. Hartbarger (Claude); brothers-in-law, Wayne Patrick (Shirley) and Gayle Patrick (Jane); sister-in-law Janet Dalton; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was conducted Thursday, Aug. 7, by Pastor Galen Combs at the Stone Church of the Brethren.
Arrangements were handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
