Born May 1, 1946, he was a son of Howard Raymond Rogers and Ruth Flint Rogers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Rogers.

Surviving are his children, Stephanie Hamilton, Kevin Rogers; a brother, Ray Rogers; and a friend, Melissa Hamilton.
