He was born March 16, 1947, the son of Geraldine Ann Rhodes.

Pete was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a successful self-employed contractor. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Pete was very well traveled and loved exploring, but always returned to his roots in Rockbridge County.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Rhodes; daughter, Catherine Rhodes; son, Christopher Rhodes; aunt Izetta Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service date has yet to be determined.
