JERRIE LAWHORNE

Jerene “Jerrie” Crickenberger Lawhorne, 87, of Buena Vista passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025. 

Born June 30, 1937, in Staunton, she was the daughter of Noah Miller Crickenberger and Gladys Hughes Crickenberger. 

Jerrie retired as a Librarian from the Buena Vista Library and was a member of Calvary Brethren Church. Jerrie was an avid reader, poet and self-published author of the book, “The Deer and I”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Lawhorne Sr.

Surviving are her children, Marty L. Coleman, Ginger L. Webb (Steve) and Robert F. “Chip” Lawhorne Jr. (Marci); five grandchildren, Shane Coleman (Casey), Devin Coleman (Kelly), Milea Webb, Savannah L. Frongillo (Michael) and Robert F. “Trace” Lawhorne III (Emma); three great-grandchildren, Haley Coleman (Joseph), Logan Coleman and Zachary Coleman.

A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Rick Ramsey. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
