He was born Jan. 19, 1949, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Charles and Catherine Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Stephanie Vest.

Surviving are his children, Marc Lewis and Carol Willis; and brother, Charles “Chuckie” Lewis.

A service will be held at a later date.
