Shirley Ann Johnson Knight, 84, of Buena Vista passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025.  Born Sept. 2, 1940, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of Winfred Johnson and Cora Moore Johnson. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Melvin “Sonny” Winfree Knight.

Surviving are her son, Mark Knight and wife, Diana Knight of Amherst County; grandchildren, Santana Ayres (Robert) of Lexington, Cherice Knight (Timothy) of Stuarts Draft, Cassie Knight (Aaron) of Lexington, Shawn Martin of Buena Vista and Katelin Martin (Preston) of Staunton; several many great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Shelby Drawbond.

A private burial will be at Rockbridge MemorialGardens 

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
