RONALD McDANIEL

Ronald Steven McDaniel, 75, of Glasgow died Thursday, April 24, 2025. 

Born March 3, 1950, he was a son of Calvin Earl McDaniel and Thelma Katheen McDaniel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy McDaniel, and former wife, Candace Wilkerson McDaniel.

Ronald was a multi-sport athlete and graduate of Natural Bridge High School. He was also a longtime employee of Blue Bird Industry. His pastimes included trout fishing on Jennings Creek and fishing on the Maury and James Rivers.  Ronald was a true fan of sports; he loved UVa, the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Phillies and recreational softball.

Surviving are his son, David McDaniel (Kasey) of Glasgow; grandchildren Taylor, Avery and Brennan; great-granddaughter Addison; brother Calvin "Gene" McDaniel (Vickey) of Glasgow; nephews Chad and Robbie; niece Ginger Raffeinner (Aaron); great-niece Quinn; and several other cousins and family members.

A visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Harrison Funeral Chapel.
