He was born Oct. 28, 1968, in Lexington, a son of Priscilla Smith Branham and the late Melvin Dean Branham Sr.

Melvin was a member of the Monacan Indian nation.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his only daughter, Micheala Nicole Madena Branham; brothers, Robert Daniel Branham (Shelley), Eric Lynn Branham, Justin Dean Branham, William McKinley Smith and Patrick Oneil Smith; sister, Jessica Marie Mook (DW); uncles, Bruce Smith, Neil Smith, Mark Smith, Calvin Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Timmy Bryson, Billy Branham, Davey Branham and Joey Branham; aunt Donna Beverly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home. A funeral will be at a later date.
