BARBARA KNICK

Barbara Knick, 82, of Glasgow, went to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

Born June 16, 1942, in Goshen, she was a daughter of the late Charles Minter and Maudie Smith Minter.

Barbara was the oldest of six children and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Carter, and brothers Lee Roy and Billy Minter. She was survived by a sister, Daris Ayers of Goshen, and a brother, Joe Minter of Swoope.

She married Robert W. Knick on June 30, 1964, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1998.  Barbara and Robert had two children, Debbie Moore (husband Jim) and Mike Knick (girlfriend Christy). Also surviving are six grandchildren, Quentin Fridley (Olivia), Katelynn Swartz (Kris), Kristen Forbes (Mike), Autumn Fridley (Riley), Skylar Clowser (Conner), and Nevaeh Knick (Jahir); eight great-grandchildren that she loved and cherished, Jordyn, Remington, Ava, Parker, Princeton, Preston, Maddie and Paisley; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Barbara worked for BPB for 30 years and Stillwater Mills for 17 years before retiring.  She devoted her life serving the Lord and loving her family.

A funeral to honor her life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Goshen BaptistChurch with the Rev. Scott Reese and the Rev. Lloyd Via officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers include Bobby Bryant, Cody Minter, Brandon Minter, Joey Ayers, Mike Forbes and Kris Swartz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Goshen Baptist Church (51 Baptist Hill Drive Road, Goshen, VA 24439) and/or the Brattons Run Cemetery (Brattons Run Rt. 780, Goshen, VA 24439).
