CHRISTOPHER AYERS Christopher Lee Ayers, 45, of Lexington passed away Jan. 25, 2025. Christopher, also known as Chris, was born to Pamela and Kevin Ayers on June 6, 1979, in Lexington. Chris loved fishing, hunting, watching racing at the Natural Bridge Speedway, his niece, his nephew and his cat, Frisky. His spirit is carried on by his parents, Pamela and Kevin; his sister Michelle and her husband, Joshua; along with his niece Olive, nephew Owen and grandmothers Madeline Chittum and Beverly Ayers. During race season, you could anticipate his witty commentary as he recorded each race. His infectious personality captured people's hearts and he will leave a void in Rockbridge County. His life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Kerrs Creek Baptist Church with Tim Goodbar Sr., Sebby Volpe, Bryan Volpe and Clifford Hall conducting the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
