DEVIN ROBINSON

DEVIN ROBINSON

Devin Thomas Robinson, 39, died Jan. 8, 2025, at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital after a very brief illness (flu).

Raised as a Jehovah’s Witness in Gainesville, Ga., he lived in the Lexington area for most of his adult years.

Predeceased by his father, Ricky Robinson, he is survived by his mother, Sharon Robinson, his sister, Enid, and his brother, Camden, all of Georgia.

Born with Muscular Dystrophy, he started using a wheelchair when he was a child. His physical abilities continued to decline so that he wasn’t able to move his legs or arms. Yet Devin’s charm, faith, dreams and kindness continued to grow, said his family.

Mr. Robinson was a management consultant, design engineer and entrepreneur. His business was called Prontogenesis Consulting. He had served on the board of directors of the Rockbridge Area Occupational Center, had been chair of the Rockbridge Disability Services Board, and was a member of the chamber of commerce. A lifelong learner, he continued to take college courses in sociology and anthropology.

Mr. Robinson had a large community of friends in the Lexington area, including friends at Heritage Hall, Coffeehouse and VAIL’s Outdoor Adaptive Recreation program.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
