Linda Mae Mohler Moore, 77, of Buena Vista, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at her home.

Born on May 23, 1947, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late John William Mohler and Bernice Virginia Vest Mohler, as well as Henry Austin and Minnie Austin, who raised her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters; Nancy Rogers and Joyce Mohler; and special son-in-law, Kirk Garrett.

Surviving Linda are her husband of 43 years, Robert "Bobby" Carl Moore; a son, Ricky Johnson; her daughters, Brenda Garrett, Judy Shelton (James), Wanda Ayers (Jason), and April Ramsey (Danny); grandchildren, Amanda Derr (Dennis), D.J. Taylor (Nikki), Brittany Garrett, Joey Johnson (Rachel), and Jonathan Johnson (Sierra); nine great-grandchildren, and many extended family members. 

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Bostic officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to ACG Hospice, 427 Lee Jackson Hwy A3, Staunton, VA 24401.
