Born Dec. 23, 1938, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Dave and Yettie Austin Moore.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Montgomery.

Surviving are her son, Earl “Boodle” Montgomery, and daughter, Rebecca Painter, four grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at First Brethren Church by the Rev. Michael Hamilton.
