Revisit Original Dog Park Proposal

Feb. 5, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: It’s good news to hear that the city is interested in creating adog park! And (as most of us have heard before) “if you’re going to do something, do it right.” The first and most influential step in creating a dog park is choosing its location.

The only appropriate public space left in town is the open field adjacent to the Woods Creek Trail, across Jordan Street from Waddell. This site was proposed many years ago, and the then-mayor vetoed it. I hope that the current mayor and Council will reconsider it and approve it. MOLLY McCLUER Lexington
