A new Bible study is kicking off at the Clarks’ house on Mondays from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. We will be discussing the Sermon on the Mount. Bring a Bible and a notebook.

The New Monmouth Ladies Circle will meet for their February meeting tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Clark house at 7 p.m.

A joint meeting with the Property and Worship committees will take place after church on Sunday, Feb. 11. The topic of discussion is the sanctuary and making some changes such as the possibility of removing the pipes at the front of the church that are there for decoration. If you would like to join the discussion, anyone is welcome to join.

Youth Group meets Sunday, Feb. 11, after church. The youths will be decorating cookies to deliver to homebound folks.

“Souper Bowl Sunday” is Feb. 11. Canned goods and donations can be made to support the RARA food pantry. Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. is the pancake dinner at church. There will be live jazz music during that meal.

February 14 is Ash Wednesday and there will be a service at church at 6:30 p.m.

Another opportunity for music, fellowship and food is Music Sunday on Feb. 25. We will have lots of special music. Let the Clarks know if you would like to share a song or two.

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club did not meet in January due to weather. The club meeting and chili dinner will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church.

Central Elementary thirdgraders received dictionaries Jan. 31 that were donated by area Ruritan clubs. The children were excited to receive a dictionary of their own. Many thanks to Sarah Burleson, Janet Drake, Rosanne Facciolo, Tim Hodges and Brian Tolley for handing out dictionaries to each student and sharing information about Ruritans.
