High Bridge Presbyterian Church members enjoyed Super Bowl Sunday starting with junior deacons Andrew McCoy and Katherine Lotts collecting food for the Natural Bridge food pantry by wheeling a wheelbarrow down the aisles for food and cash donations.

After worship members enjoyed a covered-dish array of soups and deserts. The children’s ministry group under the leadership of Donna Lotts held a best looking desert contest. Winners will be announced next week.

Recent visitors were Miller Jay of Virginia Military Institute and also James, Emma and Luke Braford of Richmond who were spending the weekend with grandparents Bill and Lea Bradford.

Visitors this past Sunday were Cody Thomas of VMI and Mark Pennington of Martinsburg, W.Va.

Ash Wednesday service will be Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. Small Group meets Thursday, Feb 23, at 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Joe Howes will lead the Bible study. Guests are welcome.

The Presbyterian Women’s annual meeting is Sunday, Feb 26.

Recently, Audrey Armentrout, Violet Vest, Connie Powell and Carol Tolley visited cousins in Fredericksburg. Also recently, David and Larry Tolley visited their brother Sonny in Fredericksburg.

Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Thursday, Feb. 16, from 9 to noon.
