THE TOWN OF GLASGOW (Town) is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms (Firm) to provide comprehensive engineering services related to lead service line inventory program management. It is anticipated that one firm will be selected to provide services requested using the competitive negotiation procedure for professional services, as outlined in the Virginia Procurement Act. The work will generally include, but shall not be limited to, lead inventory mapping, lead service line replacement plan development, school and daycare sampling, permitting, design, construction administration, funding procurement assistance, etc. Proposals received from interested Firms will be evaluated for their professional qualifications, experience, and competence necessary for the completion of the requested services. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (small or minority and/or women owned firms) are encouraged to submit proposals. City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday,February 15, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,to solicit input on Ordinance 202402 amending theFY 2024 budget from $52,110,243 to $52,198,311. This ordinance proposes appropriating $36,517 to General Government Administration for expenses associated with the 2024 Presidential Primary ($17,622) and server license requirements for the City ($18,895). In addition, the School Board has requested an appropriation of $51,551 from their reserve funds for Future Capital Needs to include locker repairs, painting, and lighting replacements. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in City Hall at 300 E. Washington Street.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Monday, February 12, 2024, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following applications: 1) Scott and Jessica Andrew, 66 Wind View Lane, Fairfield, VA 24435 have made an application for a special exception permit to develop and operate a special event venue. The properties are owned by Scott and Jessica Andrew (above address) and are located on the east side of Borden Grant Trail (Route 706), east of the intersection of Borden Grant Trail (Route 706), and Jonestown Road (Route 707). The properties are in the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. Per Section 603.03-24 of the Regulations, Special Events are a use by special exception in the A-2 Zoning District. 2) Regina D. Donald, 2766 Brownsburg Turnpike, Brownsburg, Virginia 24415 has made an application for a conditional zoning map amendment. The property is owned by Regina D. Donald (address above) and is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Brownsburg Turnpike (Route 252) and Sterrett Road (Route 724). The property is currently in the General Residential (R-1) Zoning District. The application is to rezone the property to the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District, with acceptance of potential proffers. 3) Rockbridge County, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, has made an application for zoning text amendments (ZTA) to modify Sections 602: Agricultural and Limited Uses (A-1) Zoning District, 603:Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District, 603B: Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District, 604: General Residential (R-2) Zoning District, 605: Residential Mixed (R-2) Zoning District of the Regulations to remove the provisions for “Parks and playgrounds, as part of an approved subdivision” as a permitted use in the Zoning Districts. The proposed ZTA includes modifications to Section 302.00: Specific Definitions to define Recreation, Indoor. The proposed ZTA also includes modifications to Section 603B.03 to provide for Recreation, Indoor as a use by special exception in the A-T District, as well as modifications to Section 605.02 to provide for Recreation, Indoor as a permitted use in the B-1 District.
