CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A STUDENT HEALTH CENTER ON EAST DENNY CIRCLE LOCATED ON THE WASHINGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Hugh Latimer of Washington & Lee University. The application is a request for a Conditional Use Permit that would allow a student health center with related amenities and parking to be located on East Denny Circle, on a portion of the 103 acre parcel (Tax Map #NM 19) owned by Washington & Lee University.

A copy of the application, case number CUP 2024-01 is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street. THE TOWN OF GLASGOW (Town) is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms (Firm) to provide comprehensive engineering services related to lead service line inventory program management. It is anticipated that one firm will be selected to provide services requested using the competitive negotiation procedure for professional services, as outlined in the Virginia Procurement Act. The work will generally include, but shall not be limited to, lead inventory mapping, lead service line replacement plan development, school and daycare sampling, permitting, design, construction administration, funding procurement assistance, etc. Proposals received from interested Firms will be evaluated for their professional qualifications, experience, and competence necessary for the completion of the requested services. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (small or minority and/or women owned firms) are encouraged to submit proposals.
