Fall is officially here, and I’ve had to move the thermostat to the heat setting.

The summer flowers are holding on for now, but their days are numbered. Neighborhood pools are being closed for the season. Fall is officially here, and I’ve had to move the thermostat to the heat setting.

Fall events are coming up, like the annual trunk or treat at Locher Pavilion on Oct. 28, from 6 to 8.p.m. If you plan to set up and give out candy, you must be there before 5:30 as the gates will be closed to the lot.

Glasgow Baptist Church will sponsor a fall festival in the parking lot on Oct. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. with games, snacks and activities for children and even give-a-ways for adults. In case of bad weather, the event will move inside.

Union Baptist Church’s annual fall festival will be on Sunday, Oct. 29, from noon to 2 p.m. There will be a car show, petting zoo, games, food and fellowship.
