Buena Vista Police Seeking Information On Runaway Teens

The Buena Vista Police Department is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of two Buena Vista juveniles.

According to a Facebook post by the department Wednesday afternoon, Pyper Wilhelm, a 16-years-old white female, wrote several notes to family members urging them not to worry and indicating that she had to leave. Wilhelm and Logan Gilbert, a 15-years-old white male, are believed to have run away together and have not been seen since the early morning of Feb. 7. The two are thought to be traveling in a green 2017 Honda HRV bearing Virginia license plate: NAVYMD.

"Right now, there's no indication that the kids have any mental health or medical issues that put them in danger," said Buena Vista Police Chief Wayne Handley. "We are concerned for their safety ... but we expect a positive outcome."
