Football Practice Begins
With just over three weeks before they face off, both the Rockbridge County and Parry McCluer high school football teams have started practicing, with the Wildcats beginning last Thursday morning and the Fighting Blues getting underway on Monday afternoon. The Fighting Blues are under the direction of first-year head coach Jeremiah Brockenbrough (above), while second-year head coach Martin Cox (middle row, right photo) guides the Wildcats. Inaugural Celebrate Rockbridge Event Draws 500
The Goshen Volunteer Fire Department “A-Team” won the first annual Fire Fighters Challenge tug-of-war at the Rockbridge Breakfast Club’s Celebrate Rockbridge event this past Saturday at Brewbaker Field. The team was presented with the Devin Riley Memorial Fire Fighters Challenge trophy by Congressman Ben Cline and Rockbridge Fire-Rescue Chief Nathan Ramsey.
