Feb 28, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: Watching the video of the president of the United States browbeat and threaten the president of Ukraine, we felt shame and embarrassment. Seeing the video was shocking. That our country would demand Ukraine’s mineral wealth without providing strong future territorial guarantees is like saying Russia is welcome to take a third of Ukraine and we will take the mineral wealth of the left-over portion (if Putin stops).
