The local La Leche League will meet this month on Tuesday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 123 W. Washington St., Lexington. The meeting will be held in the Canterberry room on the second floor, accessible via the elevator at the back of the church.
Meetings provide a forum for mothers to discuss concerns surrounding breastfeeding and to gather up-to-date medical information about breast milk as the ideal food for babies, which provides all the nutrition needed for their optimal growth, said a spokeswoman. Breastfeeding moms need to know what a positive impact breastfeeding has on their baby’s health, their health and the community as a whole, she added.
