Second Floor Of Museum Named For Him
The current board of directors and several former directors of the Miller’s House Museum Foundation met at the museum on Dec. 10 and witnessed a tribute to Richard Halseth for his part in making the foundation what it is today.
A plaque was installed at the second floor landing which reads: “In honor of Dick Halseth in recognition of his founding of the Miller’s House Museum Foundation in 2014, for serving multiple terms as president and secretary of its board of directors, collecting display items, managing the construction of railroad and canal lock dioramas, and providing leadership and inspiration to the board, this second floor of the museum will henceforth be known as the Halseth Gallery.”
The board had approved the naming of the gallery by a unanimous vote last November.
Following the presentation, those present enjoyed food and drink on the main floor and gave their personal congratulations to Halseth for his contributions to the museum over the past 10 years.
