The cost of a blanket is $10. Donations should be designated for Blanket Sunday and mailed to the Collierstown Presbyterian Church, 31 Church Drive, Lexington, VA 24450 or dropped off at the church by Sunday, Feb. 2.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Church’s Annual Congregational meeting will be held following the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Feb. 2. The purpose of the annual meeting is to give the congregation an opportunity to review a summary of the life, work and ministry of the church during 2024. Copies of the handbook of 2024 reports are available at each sanctuary door.

The Night Circle of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6, in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. A time of fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Bible study. Debbie McCormick will lead the study from Matthew 25:31-46 on Hospitality: Dwelling in Service. For more information, call Debbie McCormick at (540) 460-1325. All are invited to join the group in person or on Facebook Live from the church’s Facebook page at 7 p.m.

Plans for the annual “Souper Bowl of Caring” food drive at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church are underway. This year’s drive has as its theme “Pack the Porch” for those with food needs. The railed porch area at the entrance to the church’s two front doors will be the food collection site on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The church wants to fill the porch completely with canned food, paper products and monetary gifts that will be donated to Helping Hands, a food ministry of Fairfield Presbyterian Church. The Collierstown Presbyterian church family invites the community and its churches to help by bringing donations to the church on Feb. 8. Volunteers will pick up donations if requested and will be on hand to help place items on the porch that day. Contributions may also be dropped off at Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, 2409 North Lee Hwy Lexington, or Cattlemen’s Market any business day Monday through Friday the week of Feb. 3-7. For more information on becoming a “Porch Volunteer” or to arrange a donation pick up, call the church at (540) 4635918. Monetary gifts can be mailed to Collierstown Presbyterian Church, 31 Church Drive, Lexington, VA 24450 and should be designated for “Pack the Porch.”
