On Dec 6, members of the Rockbridge Pieceworkers Quilt Guild met with Project Horizon’s Executive Director Judy Casteele to present them with a donation of $2062.06. The money donated was raised from ticket sales for a raffle quilt made by the guild (shown here). It was the culmination of a two-year community outreach project. Guild members made individual blocks that were assembled and quilted. Raffle tickets were sold at the community festival, the RPQG quilt show, the YMCA and at Kendal. The drawing for the winning raffle was held on Nov. 9 during the guild’s monthly meeting. Suzanne Noonan was the lucky winner of the quilt.
