The Collierstown United Methodist Charge held its fifth Sunday worship service on Sunday, Dec. 29, at the Mt. Horeb Church. Following the service there was a covered-dish lunch and a time of fellowship enjoyed by all.

Leading the worship service at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Jan. 5, was Burr Datz. The sacrament of Holy Communion was administered by Elder Joan Potter. The annual congregational meeting will be held following the worship service on Sunday, Feb. 2. The purpose of the annual meeting is to give the congregation an opportunity to review a summary of the life, work, and ministry of Collierstown Presbyterian Church during 2024.

The celebration of life for former Collierstown resident, Janette Coleman, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John R. “Skip” Hastings will conduct the service. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

Rockbridge CAN, Rockbridge Connect and Nourish, will provide a free community dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Palmer Community Center located at 1230 Blue Grass Trail. The meal will be professionally catered by Sushi Matsumoto and served dine-in style. Those needing transportation can call RATS at (540) 463-3346.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Women will hold its winter meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All women in the church family are invited to attend this program and planning meeting for 2025.
