The 26th annual State of the Community breakfast sponsored by the local chamber of commerce will take place on Monday, Jan. 6, at 7:30 a.m. at the Virginia Horse Center.
This event provides an opportunity for community members to hear from elected officials from Buena Vista, Lexington, and Rockbridge County, as well as Virginia state legislators, as they offer insights into the state of the community and share their vision for the future.
The event will kick off with doors opening at 7:15 a.m. for a breakfast buffet provided by Pure Eats, with the official program starting at 8 a.m.
Featured speakers include Tyson Cooper, Buena Vista mayor; Frank W. Friedman, Lexington mayor; Leslie E. Ayers, chair, Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors; Christopher T. Head, Virginia state senator, 3rd District; Ellen H. Campbell, Virginia House of Delegates, 36th District; and Terry L. Austin, Virginia House of Delegates, 37th District.
