The choir will present the Christmas cantata this Sunday at 11 a.m. at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. Special pre-service music will be provided by Calvin Clark. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
Thank you to Dianne Swink, Laura Hotinger, Sarah, the praise team and the choir for leading music Sunday morning. Dianne wants to thank everyone for the contributions of clothes and supplies for North Carolina flood victims. Twenty bins, plus bags and boxes, were loaded into a full tractor-trailer!
Thank you to all who came out for the Clark Christmas open house. What a joy to fellowship with everyone. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to purchase a gift for the Angel Tree Prison Fellowship. Please bring wrapped gifts to church on Sunday so they can be delivered next week.
On Thursday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. there will be a cookie exchange at church with Christmas caroling to follow. We will divide up into groups and make visits to some of our homebound folks in their homes as well as Kendal.
There will be a “pop-up” Christmas Story during the 11 a.m. service on Dec. 22. Also on that day there will be congregational meeting on Dec. 22 to elect elders.
The Christmas Eve candlelight service will be Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.
On Dec. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m., New Monmouth will have an evening of jazz and desserts to benefit the music program.
