Visiting Ophelia Payne for Thanksgiving were Clifford and Courtney Payne of Warwick, R.I., William Payne of Laurel, Md., and Sydney Nowlin and daughter Skylar of Fredericksburg. Also visiting were Karen and Erin Payne along with Noah and Josiah of Roanoke, Miles Rose of Roanoke and Kendis, Jaylen, Avery, Cooper and Madison Clark of Vinton.
Visiting Brenda White was Audra Woodley of Alexandria and Maurice Woodley and friend Brittany of Denver, Colo.
Visiting Earl Long and family were Kaye and Gabby Rumph of Irmo, S.C., and Boo and Alma Gay Long of Roanoke.
Sending condolences to the Merchant family on the passing of Margo Merchant Tolliver. Margo was a graduate of Lylburn Downing High School. She leaves behind a daughter and her siblings, Jake, Anne, Freddie and Sandra Merchant. Please see the full obituary in the Nov. 24 edition of this paper.
