Kerrs Creek

Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected] This past Sunday, Nov. 24, was the final Sunday in Ordinary Time on the church calendar. This coming Sunday, Dec. 1, will be the first Sunday of Advent. The church kitchen was busy on Saturday afternoon with a group of women working on Advent wreaths for their homes. Thanks to all who came out to create together and share greens.

On Sunday, the praise team sang “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks” with Calvin Clark on piano and Cordelia Clark on drums. A Thanksgiving service was held on Sunday evening and included time to share what we are thankful for and join in prayer. Thank you to all who contributed to the special offering collected for Project Horizon.

The Clark Christmas open house is almost here! It will be Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. Please bring a neighbor or friend and come to eat cookies!

The Lunch Bunch will meet at church on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at noon. Please RSVP to Rachel so enough food will be prepared.

The Christmas Cantata will be Sunday, Dec. 15, at the 11 a.m. service.

Christmas caroling and a cookie exchange will take place Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m.

The Christmas Eve candlelight service will be on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.

Mark your calendars for a special New Year’s Eve event at New Monmouth Presbyterian with an evening of jazz and desserts from 5 to 7 p.m. Laura Hotinger and other jazz musicians ‒ including Calvin and Cordelia Clark ‒ will provide special music. There is no admission price, but donations will be accepted to help support the music program. Let Laura Hotinger know if you are interested in participating.
