The annual Christmas covered-dish dinner and carol singing will be held at the Palmer Community Center on Sunday, Dec. 1, beginning at 5 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Center and Effinger Ruritan Club. Turkey and ham will be furnished.
If anyone wishes to place a poinsettia in Oxford Presbyterian Church during the Christmas season, please notify Evelyn Ayers at [email protected] or (540) 463-2727 by Sunday, Dec. 8.
Santa Claus will visit the boys and girls in the community at the Collierstown Baptist Church pavilion on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This activity is sponsored by all the area churches.
