Firefighters were dispatched to 214 Walker St. at 1:48 a.m. and the bulk of the fire was knocked down by 2:07 a.m., reported Lexington Fire Chief Ty Dickerson. Firefighters from Buena Vista, Kerrs Creek, Effinger and Natural Bridge joined Lexington in the firefighting efforts, which continued for several more hours to make sure the fire was completely out.
