Sydney Faith Black was received as a new member of Oxford Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning, Oct. 6. World-wide Communion was celebrated. After worship service “friends & fellowship” was held.
On Monday evening, Sept. 30, representatives from Collierstown Baptist, Collierstown Methodist, Collierstown Presbyterian, Mt. Horeb Methodist, Oxford Presbyterian and Union View Adventist Churches met at the Palmer Community to discuss upcoming activities for the children of the churches and communities. Rapps Mill Church was unable to send a representative.
The first event will be “trunk or treat” on Saturday, Oct. 26, on the Effinger firehouse grounds from 3 to 4:30 p.m. There will be a cakewalk and donations of cakes are needed.
The Neighborhood Grocery needs containers of juice for October.
