Hardware Store’s Closing Lamented

Sept. 23, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: This autumn marks the closing of Buddie’s Hardware, which has served the community under one or another name for decades. In the last two or three years, it has been owned and manned by just one person, Quin (the only name we know him by). It was an heroic act, exhausting, and idealistic: we need small businesses headed by one or two persons who thoroughly know their immense stock of items and can personally assist us in making decisions.
