The 11-and-under Virginia Bandits boys basketball team – with players from Glasgow, Lexington,and Buena Vista – won the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) state championship on Sept. 2 at the The Horizon Edge in Harrisonburg. The Bandits went 4-0 on the weekend, beating the East Rockingham Snipers 51-30 in the finals.
