Demolition began Monday on the former Roses/Lexington Antique Mall building in the College Square Shopping Center north of Lexington. Roses opened in the building in August 1983 and remained there until the early 1990s. The Lexington Antique Mall opened in 1994, and, under different owners, continued until 2019. It has been empty since then. Joe Harding, owner of the shopping center, said his company is talking with several possible tenants for the site but has not yet reached a “conclusive lease.” (Mary Woodson photo)
