City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,to solicit input on Ordinance 202405 amending theFY 2024 budget from $52,198,311 to $52,416,650. This ordinance proposes appropriating $46,980 to General Government Administration for expenses associated with the City Manager search, a new machine for elections, and an Organizational Assessment; $95,564 to Public Safety for Lexington’s share of the new CAD system for the regional 911 center; $40,353 in Health, Education, and Welfare to support opioid abatement efforts; and $500 within Economic and Community Development to fund a grant award. In addition, the Utility Fund has requested an appropriation of $15,471within Nondepartmental to cover additional costs associated with replacing a totaled vehicle.
