Juneteenth In Lexington

There was plenty of music, dancing, food and other activities during the annual Juneteenth celebration in Lexington at Richardson Park on Saturday. The music was provided by the 100 Proof GoGo Band (upper left photo) and The Gospel Creators (below). Among the food trucks was Love All Barbecue (third row, center). Members of the local Sounder Community Circle (third row, left) presented a children’s session, while one of the Lexington Police Department’s horses (shown at bottom left enjoying a snow-cone) visited with festival-goers, and members of the NAACP and 50 Ways Rockbridge offered a voter registration table.
