June 3, 2024’ Editor, The News-Gazette: The verdict is in and the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for president of the United States is a convicted felon. He has been tried and found guilty by a jury of his peers in a court law.
One of the principle ideals upon which our nation was founded, indeed of our Constitution and democracy, is that no one is above the law. Donald Trump is being held accountable for his actions; the Republican Party, the party of law and order, should do the same. MIKE STRICKLER Lexington
